Survey List Help

Description
New Survey: To create a survey click on the green button that reads New Survey. This will take you to the Create New Survey screen. You will have the choice of creating a new survey from scratch, by copying an existing survey, or by using one of our templates.

Status: To allow respondents to complete a survey the survey status must be Open. If the survey status is Closed respondents will see a “survey closed” message when accessing the link and you will not be able to view the survey as you are creating it. You can quickly close a survey by clicking on the lock icon or going to the Options screen ans entering a close  survey date.

Survey Title: To preview the survey while you are creating/editing it, you may click on the underlined survey name. The survey will pop-up in a new window for you to view. Anytime you edit the survey you will be able to see your changes in real-time by clicking on the “refresh” button in the survey window. Any responses recorded while testing should be removed prior to launching the survey.

There are 6 buttons that allow you to create and edit a survey: Questions, Details, Options, Text, Copy, and Delete

Questions: From this screen you will be able to add, view and edit questions. You have the ability to choose from various question response formats, edit question text and response options, move questions up or down, and delete questions. Sample questions are provided on the Question Help screen so you quickly see what you can build. For page specific help, click  on the blue “?” button in the upper right hand corner of the Questions page.

Details: From this screen you will be able to add the survey title, your customized logo, change the background color, the color of the title, title font and title bar. You can do the same for the questions. You will also add instructions for the first and last pages of the survey and you may add text as a footer. For page specific help, click  on the blue “?” button in the upper right hand corner of the Details page.

Options: From this screen you will be able to specify the number of completed responses, specify a web site to redirect respondents upon completion of your survey, create a custom Survey Closed message, enable save and complete later functionality, enable report link filtering and several other options. For page specific help, click on the blue “?” button in the upper right hand corner of the Options page.

Text: The Text screen allows you to change the wording on most all buttons and automated responses within  a given survey.

Copy: There may be instances when you will want to copy a survey instead of creating a new one. For example, if you want to use a survey but with modifications to a few items, it will be easier to copy a survey and edit those questions than to start over.

Delete: Use this button to delete a survey: BE CAREFUL! Deleting a survey also deletes all data associated with that survey.
